The great guys at Bitcraze have created a super nice small remote controlled flying eval board with the Nordic Semiconductor nRF24L01+ 2.4 GHz radio chip and the ST Arm Cortex M3 based micro controller STM32F103CB. It’s really a nice little toy that can be used for both fun and learning.
You control the thing with an Android phone or a PC with a USB dongle radio. It works with Playstation 3 or XBOX 360 controllers as well. And you can even fly it with a gesture sensor from Leap Motion as shown in this video:
Impressive stuff. Good to see not all electronics needs multi-gigabit signaling to be interesting 🙂
